Pastor Scott Schindler has been serving for 7 years at Broadmoor Baptist Church having come here in January of 2011 from Calvary Baptist Church in Helena-West Helena, Arkansas where he served as Associate Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church for 4 years under Charles Shipman.

Brother Schindler was saved in March of 1988 while serving at the Whispering Pines Baptist Church in Hartsville, South Carolina where he was serving as Youth Pastor and worship leader. He began his ministry in 1983 at Trinity Baptist Church of Bradenton, Florida, serving in the church’s school. Broadmoor is the fourth church that he has had the privilege of pastoring. He received his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies from Patriot Bible University in Del Norte, Colorado.

He was called to preach while a teenager on a mission trip to Mexico and attended Bible college where he met his wife of 34 years and has enjoyed these years serving the Lord with her. God has blessed them with three children; Jared and wife Carried who are the parents of the Schindler’s first grandchild; Avelyn Rose, Daughters; Jenna with husband Michael Gonzalez and Jacey with husband Clayton Homewood. Brother Scott is a Baptist Preacher’s son and Jared and Clayton are both Baptist Pastors and Jenna and Michael are serving the Lord at Broadmoor and are valuable assets for the church. 

He enjoys preaching and teaching God’s Word as well as counseling and discipling those God has called him to serve. Broadmoor has a long and rich heritage with many great men of God who have pastored here over the years as well as many men out serving in full-time ministry that came up and or came through this church. It is this pastor’s heartfelt desire to see this rich heritage passed on to the next generation.
